Final Trailer Compressor Update

The trailer compressor is pretty much done. I have a few videos from when I got it, but I never really covered off its completion, so here it is. I have a new workshop now with 3 phase, so this one will probably get sold. Thanks for watching! Josh www.armouryenterprises.com josh@armouryenterprises.com

Easy Closed Loop and Window rinse for Vapor Blaster
Переглядів 6 тис.Рік тому
Recently here in New Zealand, there has been an uptick in people converting the sb200 style sand blasting cabinets, which has resulted in a demand for some add on products to solve some of the issues that arise as a part of these conversions. Two of the products I have come up with are a drop in lighting solution, and a bolt in window rinse bar. Thanks for watching! Josh www.armouryenterprises....

How to check media ratio in your DIY Vapor Blasting Cabinet
Переглядів 6 тис.2 роки тому
I continually get asked what mixture of media should be run. Or I end up being asked to diagnose home built systems that just don't function as they should. This is a test I end up explaining a lot. Being short on time with all the builds keeping me busy, I figured now was a good time to squeeze in some quick edits. Thanks for watching!
New Hybrid 3d printed vapour blaster nozzle

Been catching up on nozzle building. I have modified the .stl of the 3d printed guns to fit larger hose barbs. I have also put together a hybrid type nozzle. Hey Simon, I responded by email but figured I would answer here too for anyone else wondering. I use AC grade glass beads (250-150 Micron) and Brown AO (125 - 106 Micron) at about a 50/50 mix. I have brown AO because that was what was in stock, but it clouds up the water very quickly. White may be better in this regard. Cheers Josh

      @@ArmouryEnterprises Do you think having a shorter airhose would be beneficial on smaller compressors?

    • @ArmouryEnterprises
      @ArmouryEnterprises Місяць тому

      It can help, but it depends. If you have a 10m long 1/4" hose and you cut it down to 1m, it will have a small improvement. But if you have a 10m long 1/2" line, the difference would be practically imperceptible.

    What volume of pump should I use for a cabinet , the size of the red one , behind you. My budget and need i think is closer to an old dish washer pump, someone is throwing out lol.

    • @joshhubbard5026
      @joshhubbard5026 2 місяці тому

      Depends on whether you plan to run it in the cabinet or in a reservoir underneath. If you are only able to get a small pump, you don't want to have it lift too high. I usually aim at around 9000 - 18000l/h. I would recommend looking for a second hand submersible pump. You can get them pretty cheaply. You can make dishwasher pumps work, but there are a couple of restraints. The flow rate is relatively low, and they are not submersible so plumbing can be a bit more complicated.

    • @ArmouryEnterprises

      That depends on the advance of the tech. Currently laser rust removal systems are still very expensive. Eventually someone will figure out how to make them cheap and at that point, entry level sandblaster will be done. Vapour blasting may hold out a bit longer but eventually laser will advance to the point that you can adjust the surface finish and will displace vapour blasters too.
